To find one of the best places, and more current, look like the Apple Applications store is filled with games and other programs, in over 6000 games and 19,000 applications.
First of all, the balance is correct, but is obvious that the games have their priority opposite the category of applications of "productivity" or "work." If you also add enjoy applications and Internet services Apps, you can begin to understand that the iPhone, for example, is not the correct tool, at least not for the "classic" worker.
Same or worse happening with Android or Windows Mobile, this is not exclusive to anyone, hence Nokia or Rim try to drive Symbian and Blackberry to use more consistent forms of work and less leisure.
However, all systems focusing on productivity, as well as "ugly", is being criticized for lack of multimedia and interactive possibilities, thats why the Storm (Rim) or the new Nokia terminals also include MP3, MP4, browsers with flash and a thousand and one playful addons than anything else.
My thoughts at this point passed in if the business decision was based on the new behaviors of their customers or their customers rate would have changed since a specific area to another more generic.
Could it be that now the executives also want to play something else other than “Solitaire”? Can that new executives are more concerned about Twitter that Yahoo Finance? Perhaps most important is Copy / Paste from a web page than generate an spreadsheet of our work?
All these questions are based on the capabilities of various devices and their applications in this regard. But after much meditation I believe that the solution is provided in grayscale, which is a mixture of new requirements will be joining the complexity of a market that no longer watch uses or needs to distinguish, but by technology.
Not 10 years ago it was unthinkable that a teenager was spent 500 euros (or Dollars, maybe) in a high-end phone that can be needed or not . Far from thinking that if it is within their capabilities, not even really say if they need this kind of device, which has demonstrated this new wave of customers is the need for mobility has been imposed on other conditions.
I will not say if for a citizen is very important to write in a blog or share any image at any time, or if the cost is offset. But if I can say that is not true for a worker (and I mean those who work, whether Auto employed or employed).
Away from workers include those with on-line bussines, for most users for work purposes makes little sense to link high-speed data to exchange documents or databases, even to visit a specific website, but not for streaming audio and video, play on your network or send photos to Flickr. And it is not for nothing that this evil, but because anything that distracts us from our obligations to make us forget our true purpose.
That's why it has always the systems been oriented to labor issues have been sparing in details, less addons and designed for" a single use ".
I believe that the new kind of devices offers many options open to new ways to guide and interpret the productive capacity of each one, and that's great, but I fear that we are diluting the line between the professionalism of the need for "casual use".
Are happy to criticize at the comments, download games for iPhone ... here.

Nota: No escribir durante el MWC09...
Contrary to what happens with the big blogs, doing a great job and it shows the effort for a top publisher of technology as the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, smaller or at least we decided to rest.
Not that we are more vague, I guess, but the target of all eyes are those news, the live broadcast , images captured recently. Our blog is not based on "new" devices only, but analyzes the daily reality of these developments. This is why despite the interesting things we announced we have nothing to say.
Probably next year, if this project continues to interest you, we even are present in this and other events, but we will start writing as soon as we can digest the vast information and of course, separate information from simply marketing .
Greetings to all and see you soon, however ... here.

Latitude's new service, which integrates the new version of Google Maps, find your position and all those who desire it on a map. By the time it was a service that was tested with my wife who stood and fashion both locations, although not error-free positioning in some circumstances.
This morning I received an invitation on my BlackBerry to share my location with a good friend. Accepted without think about. However, it was something that made my brain to work trying to find answers to some questions.
Do you really want that a number of people knows at all times where I am and what I'm doing? What is the true value of social networks to pretend that this service seems to resemble?
Networks such as Facebook which initially seemed an attempt to bring people with common interests, has become a community of onlookers and gossip. Twitter suffers endless sequence of entries full of profound thoughts or Utra-tiny good morning greetings of those who pretend that the "what are you doing now?" it´s a real question. Anyway is a difficult task to synthesize any into 140 characters .
In the end, we are immersed in a maelstrom of networks for which they seem to completely nullified that wins the most "friends" have. A game where it seems that you are forced to come to not feel moved. Give me a piece of your life and be famous.
It may not matter that a true friend, who is also in real life, he finds certain aspects of your life. But then there are those other "friends" who think that some collections, you may not want you to know the least about you.
It is clear that when we participate in these networks, we must assume that it is inconvenient for some, but excludes those fortunate brain (in the broadest sense with respect to lucky) put restrictions on their "works." If not either of those options, we have a third and more radical, like the Catholic church and sex, if not to procreate, it is also the most ferrea abstinence. And we are once again at the beginning, at the same time when we are filling in the fields on the registration form: the outside and wanting to enter.
Worst of all perhaps is the amount of information that we can not control the swarm by any user. The "Aquí hay tomate" or "Where you heart?" in the version 2.0, are social networks. And if not, time to time.

El día que Gmail no sea Beta...
The day Gmail is not Beta ...
For those unaccustomed to the Beta state, not the format of video, say that a software program that has almost come to an end, still have to check and repair items before being considered "marketable."
This is because when we began the difficult task of making a complex program, like many current projects, we add code to called the Alpha version (yes, yes, those Greeks knew all ...). This state is the most usual, because until things should not work as you can not move forward. When everything is going "almost" well, we passed the state Beta, typically for developers, testers and miscarriages, which aims to find bugs for review.
For some time now it is more profitable, not more appropriate, to publish the beta versions so that everyone can use it and test it, so if no responsibilities. This is an advantage in many other occasions but it's becoming a problem. No program is safe and stable until leave the beta version for your business. If the beta period is extended in time we are faced with two major barriers:
- We have a great tool thats is not an option for legal and business purposes.
- We forget that the role of development is complete tasks in an estimated date, setting a specific product, closed and we know all their options.
This brings us to the subject of the article, what about Gmail?
Personally speculate, and it is not a rumor or a true fact, that things will change. Gmail does not come out of its beta version perhaps because when it do give us a surprise, or rather to our credit card.
When millions of people control their email, calendar, news and links from a single vendor makes us a little slaves. We can check with Hotmail at its inception and subsequent changes, his users want to or not.
Google is the same, except that its title of "saints" , this time has escaped hardest criticism , which could have been. In a company with the size of Google, which is almost 100% fueled by advertising revenue, as many services as we manage the costs and if, as expected this year, the advertising falls significantly.
The company already has taken positions in this regard but still remaining difficult stretches to 2010. That's why turning to the head and I have concluded that one reason that Gmail has become an eternal beta is because when things are clearer and service positions dominate market the service is open to the retail version.
This does not mean that everything is paid, but there will be a "Gmail Plus" for those willing to pay, while the free Google services will start to have a somewhat slower development.
Maybe I'm wrong, by 2010 there is time to seek support, but does not hurt to start looking for suppliers that we like to pay an Internet soon will be more "expensive" than today.

Nokia y su continuo error, N-GAGE
Nokia and its continuous error... N- Gage
Nokia long ago that shows likely to be tired, even sheltered I would say. It is not that they are comfortable in their position as the mobile phone giant, but that lamb is scared for their own future.
Mobile telephony will continue to grow, but within a few years will no longer be at the top, but as wide. Like everything in life, when it reaches top of possibilities, the following is growing in functionality, capability, influence on the consumer, and so on.
Among the many mistakes there is one thats shining dramatically. Nokia does not want to leave the N-Gage, or structure or name. I think the name has been drained of much stress on it without result of success, may propose N-Gamer if things take a different course ...
But the most irritating beyond will see how millions of euros in the end, is to see that neither the change of course after removing offered ngage phones and ngage qd have been able to learn from their mistakes and build a platform capable.
Today there are titles on Java dangerously close to the abilities and qualities of this platform that I'm going to schedule time for a closed platform if can do for millions of brands and models?
To understand the error of Nokia you have to think about someone taking strategic decisions, wanted to maintain control of the game development in the hands of the company. We will not tell to Nokia as its lead company, but we remind they that can not force drawn from several markets simultaneously.
If they want a gaming platform other than Java, with a license market itself, which I think is what they seek, then must return to the road abandoned. They must return to devices which are not fully specialized, but they are designed to keep the user in a comfortable way to play and compatible with other functions.
The problem then is certainly going to have fierce competitors, if suddenly Nintendo, Sony or Apple decide to follow the same path are in much better condition that the Finnish company. Maybe rather than face up to reality of the market for video games prefer to look for other outlets, finally leaving the N-Gage franchise, otherwise to be preparing a few venture capital funds too bulky, because they need for that.
To know that I speak ... here.
